These are just two of the fundamental principles that SEM was built upon in 1948. Amidst continued growth, SEM moved from Belmont, CA to Charlotte, NC in 1992. In 1999, SEM manufactured its first aerosol product in their newly built facility in Rockingham, NC. This 40,000 square foot facility put SEM on the map with their well known high speed production lines and incomparable filling records.

In 2009 SEM moved both the Charlotte and Rockingham facilities under one roof in Rock Hill, SC. Today we distribute our products to all 50 states and countries around the world.
